Run 2746 – Action at Ocean Village SC – City Beach

About 40 Hashmen pitched up to Ocean Village after a hot day to a not so hot breeze in a good location. The hare/co-hare of Action and Polecat produced a fine run in respectable temperatures, good running territory with good parking and good food.

19 runners (a record in recent times) set off on a run up and down dunes with all the slopes the hares could find. Distance 5.4 km for those who avoided many false trails and a bit over 6km for PITW, Nanny and Q brigade. 54 minutes according to TomTom.

The circle almost headed into HHHH territory for the major matter and world importance issue of 50 c per week. For those not there, this is not a joke but how it was.

However, nothing could spoil another Monday night in paradise with lots of beer and great chilli con carne. Good job Action and Polecat.

Breakfast run to follow at the Rotunda on Hackett Drive at 07:00 Friday.

Run 2745 – Chunder at Como

39 Hashmen rocked up for a treat by Chunder and Haggis.

Weather – brilliant.  Same for location, parking, access and the meatloaf and salads with beetroot in good buns tukka was ample and top notch.

17 runners took off behind Piggy and the group distance went from 5.8km and 52 min to Nanny’s group who did a creditable 6.4km is said time.  A super run with very clever false trails in triangles using the mini parks truly well.    The hares decided checks were for sissies so there were none.

A top run – Good job gents.

Where else could you possibly want to be on a Monday night?

Run 2744 -French Tickler- Cockman House, Woodvale

FRENCH TICKLERS VALEDICTORY RUN

It was a rather disappointing crowd at Frenchies final run set for
Perth Hash along with his co-hare The Mole. He joined Perth Hash on
Jan 3 2006 Run 1873 and finished on December 5 2022. He was also
hashing with Warwick, Ballarat, Krakatau hashes. His keenness was also
evident on the number of times he served on the committee, six times
over the years. The run at Cockman House had plenty of parking and
lighting. There were no complaints about the run which amazingly had
the runners and walkers finished back at the bucket at the same time
in about an hour. The circle had the usual down downs and jokes
before we headed off for a scrumptious feed of chicken and chips.

Run 2740 – Moses – Lake Monger, Dodd St, North side

Perth Hash Run 2740 Monday 7th November 2022

Hares: Moses and Mastitis

Location Lake Monger

About forty five members and guests gathered at the northern end of Lake Monger on a pleasant spring evening to be greeted by Moses, almost back to full fitness following his recent injury, and Mastitis. Sir Tom’s guest, Marcus, came along again; that’s a good sign.

Shortly after 6pm the runners set off and, following a false trail along the western shore of the lake, headed north towards the Osborne Park industrial area. Phantom, map in hand, encouraged walkers to follow them. Not convinced of the wisdom of this move, Botak and I opted for the more scenic option of a stroll around the lake. Very pleasant it was too. We returned to the beer truck about 3.5 km and fifty minutes later.

The main packs of walkers and runners came in after about an hour. There were some mutterings of discontent about the trail markings but that happens most Mondays.

The circle, which was orderly and commendably short, included a good joke from Pembo.

Returnees included Botak and Kilkenny. Reluctant was thanked for his Spring Run hospitality. Guest Marcus picked Horse’s number from the hat but Horse was unable to pick the ace from the pack. Gumby and Polecat (get a haircut!) reminded us of the golf morning and lunch. RA Reluctant, on being informed that Moses had prepared roast mutton for dinner, upped his run score to 8.9.

Thanks to the hares for another good Monday evening.
