Having blown out ALL the candles ( NZ by 12 ) I'll continue with Manning ON cANNING RUN WRITE UP.
a GOOD VENUE, ALTHO A BIT TIGHT FOR PARKING, CONSIDERING THEY WERE STILL ROWING WHEN When we got there. Oops pressed the caps key. However after a talk from Rusty, and no talk from his co-hare, who was the co-hare, surely not that reprobate, Elbows, we set off. The walkers were held back for some unknowb reason, afraid they might finish ahead of the runners/joggers maybe??? We took off around a big park, don't know it's name, and then it was on on up the hills. I bet you didn't know there were hills in Manning aka Salters Point. we then wandered thru the back blocks , bereft of all calling, until we came across another big park. That was clever by the hare ,as there was a fence around said park. The runners/joggers found there way over ,under ,thru okay. From there it was a race back to the the bucket, as your scribe and about 5 hashmen short cut!!!!!!!!
The on on was superb, the kangaroo stew/curry was edible, well done Rusty, at least he cooked beforehand, unlike some of his earlier efforts. A down down was given to all the returnees, about 10 all up, Shakin put some Guiness on, and Polecat and Jerrycan were given a down down for their efforts in organising the ramble, which no-one turned up to. All in all a very good nite, did I mention we raised $ 1800 for the Foster Care Association, thanks to all those that donated
