About Us

How It All Began …

The Perth Hash House Harriers started on Monday 16 February 1970 by Geoff ‘Pop’ Edwards, Peter ‘Cans’ Edwards, Mike Farrer, Sandy Couper and ‘St Peter’.

We run every Monday night at 6.00pm. The only exceptions are if Monday falls on a public holiday we run on the next working day. On joint runs we generally run at 6.30pm. Currently there is no daylight saving hours observed in Western Australia.

GOALS OF THE HASH

. . . from the charter document written in 1950, and approved on 9 Feb 1951 of the Kuala Lumpur Hash House Harriers.

  • To promote physical fitness among our members
  • To get rid of weekend hangovers
  • To acquire a good thirst and to satisfy it in beer
  • To persuade the older members that they are not as old as they feel
